Gimme My Man Pillow!

Posted by Hello
Hehehehehe. Interesting. Gimme one!

The woman's lap pillow for men idea is hilarious!!!!

In Japan, Women Can Doze With Man Pillow

By KAORI HITOMI, Associated Press Writer

NAGAREYAMA, Japan - After a long night at work as a radio DJ, Junko Suzuki likes to snuggle at bedtime — and she says she's found the perfect partner: a man-shaped pillow.

Linen maker Kameo Corp.'s new "Boyfriend's Arm Pillow" — which consists of a headless torso and a stuffed arm that curls around the sleeper — might make some people uneasy.

But not Suzuki, or about 1,000 others in Japan who have bought the pillow, which Kameo says is the first of its kind. The product went on the market last December.

"I like to sleep holding someone's hand," Suzuki, 34. "And this pillow makes me feel relaxed because I can hold the arm and feel something warm at my side."

Kameo, based in the southern Japanese city of Fukuoka, says the pillow is not only an emotional comfort, but that its shape keeps the body balanced by supporting the sleeper from both sides.

Sleepers typically curl up in between the body of the pillow and the crooked arm, with the sleeper's head resting on the pillow's "bicep."

"My grandmother used to say that there is nothing more comfortable pillow than human," said Kameo President Tomoki Kakehashi. "So, I thought that maybe women would want to sleep on an arm-shaped pillow."

The pillow is only on sale in Japan, where customers can buy one for US$80 (Japanese Yen 8,500). Covered in a shirt-shaped pillow cover, it comes in blue, pink or green.

For Suzuki, who is estranged from her husband, the pillow has definite advantages: It doesn't squirm or thrash in the night, and you know it'll be there in the morning.

"It keeps holding me all the way through," she said in her home outside of Tokyo. "I think this is great because this does not betray me."

One-size pillows do not fit all.

So Kameo is working up new models: muscular pillows for sleepers who like their pillows well-built; slender models for those after a more sensitive, vulnerable partner.

The company also has a prototype for its next big project: a female pillow for men. This one will be shaped like a woman's lap, with a "skirt" cover.

"I always thought someone's lap would the best pillow for me," said Kakehashi.

I Love You Dunlap, Indiana!

Thank God somebody has some balls to do something about kids showing their underwear in school. I guess the parents can't read the school's dress code and can't afford a belt or proper-fitting jeans for school purposes.

I'm tired of seeing guys' and girls' underwear/thongs who are under the age of 18 in public schools. Anybody else????

Dad Says Principal Duct-Taped Son's Pants

Tue Sep 28,10:11 AM ET

DUNLAP, Ind. - The father of a seventh-grader claims an assistant principal came up with a bizarre way to keep his son's pants from sagging in school: duct tape.

Scott Allison told the Concord School Board earlier this month that his 12-year-old son, Spencer, was ordered by a teacher to lift his shirt after she noticed the boy's underwear was showing above his pants, a violation of Concord Junior High School's dress code.

She sent him to Assistant Principal Patricia Walters, who told Spencer to pull up his pants and tuck in his shirt, Allison said.

"She then proceeded to duct tape his waist, three times around the waist," said Allison. "Then she sent him back to class, in front of his peers."

He said he worried his son would be mocked by his classmates at the school in the town about 20 miles east of South Bend.

"This outrages me and shocks me," Allison said.

Allison also said that Spencer's underwear would not have been exposed if the shirt was left down. "I don't understand what motivated her to ask him to lift up his shirt," he said.

Board President Randall Myers said the board would not discuss personnel issues in public. Junior high Principal Kevin Caird said student discipline is confidential.

I just want to SCREAM right now....

Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!

Tropical Store Ivan

Tropical Storm Ivan should be here in the next 24 hours. We're supposed to get 5-10 inches of rain and 40-50 mph winds. It's nothing horrible and I've certainly been through a whole lot more than this many times but it's still kind of weird knowing that this is the Ivan that caused all of the damage and loss of life in the Caribbean and Florida/Alabama (among other places). Here's what I've found for cams so far...

Galveston, TX
* 7! different cams to choose from - updated every 6 seconds

Surfhouse - Surfside Beach, TX
* Updates between 7:00am to 7:15pm local time

Gary's Surf Cam - Surfside, TX
* 2 different cams - one updates every minute and the other every 10 minutes

Houston Museum of Natural Science
* Updates every couple of seconds

Will try to find some more after work today. Toodles!

Yikes!

Ivan's coming to see ME now!

They say it will only be a tropical depression when it hits but still we have all kinds of coastal flooding watches & warnings in effect here. They're telling us to expect 5-10 inches of rain but not a whole lot of wind.

I guess I need to find some cams from my area now...LOL

Ivan's almost like a doorknob...everybody's getting a turn.

Congrats Kurt!

Congratulations Kurt BuschPosted by Hello

In the end though, sports for me kinda sucked today.

The Texans were beat by the Detroit Lions (yes, you heard me right) 28-16. The only saving grace in the matter is that both teams played like poorly-funded high school teams with the 'B' players on the field.

There were a couple of bright spots in the game but anybody who read my recap of the Texans' game last Sunday remembers what I said about Domanick Davis. Well, you guessed it, 2 more fumbles by him. Aaron Glenn did a good job today though as did Kailee Wong and Marcus Coleman.

The NASCAR race in New Hampshire just ticked me off. Well, any part involving Robby Gordon ticked me off. All I have to say is that if Robby & Greg Biffle want to play tag and wreck each other, at least do it when there aren't other cars around. And here's another one for you Robby, if you're gonna 'pay back' a driver, don't say it over your radio for the NASCAR god to hear. That's just stupid. And then I read a little bit ago about Robby, after the race, shoved a reporter in the media section. I hope they suspend his ass for a race.

So their antics on the track today took out Tony Stewart and Jeremy Mayfield. Both are contenders in the 'Chase to the Championship'. I guess the best thing I can say is thank goodness there are 9 more races for them to hopefully recover.

I need to check and see if Dallas won. (leaves, then comes back) Damn it!

Cool Burnout!

Macaulay Culkin charged with drug possession

Actor released from Oklahoma City jail after posting bond
Saturday, September 18, 2004 Posted: 8:05 AM EDT (1205 GMT)

(CNN) -- Actor Macaulay Culkin, who gained fame as a child in the smash hit film "Home Alone," was charged Friday in Oklahoma City with marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, police said.

Culkin, 24, was a passenger in a Pontiac Bonneville stopped on Interstate 44 about 4 p.m. (5 p.m. ET) for speeding, police said. He was arrested after officers found the substances during a search of the car, and was released after posting $4,000 bond, police said.

Police seized 17.3 grams of marijuana, eight Xanax pills and 16 round white pills identified by police as clonazepam, a sedative used to treat anxiety and seizures that can be addictive. Police said Culkin told them he did not have a prescription for the pills.

The driver of the vehicle, Brett M. Tabisel, 22, of New York City, was charged with speeding, improper lane change and marijuana possession, police said.

According to the police report, the officer who pulled Tabisel over found a plastic bag filled with marijuana inside a black bag on the floor, in which Culkin had told the officer he had $3,000. The pills were in a clear plastic bag that Culkin pulled out of his front pocket, according to the report, and the arresting officer also found six rolled marijuana joints and two small burnt cigarettes in a silver cigarette case.

Culkin made no comment as he left the Oklahoma County Jail. His publicist, Michelle Bega, also had no comment.

Culkin has appeared in 19 films, including the 1989 film "Uncle Buck" -- one year before "Home Alone" hit the box office.

His most recent American-made film was "Saved!," which was released earlier this year. He has made numerous television appearances, including hosting "Saturday Night Live" in 1991.

Culkin was just 9 years old when "Home Alone" took America by storm. Feeding off that success, he appeared in about 10 films in a span of four years, becoming the highest paid child star in history along the way.

At the age of 14, he said he was retiring -- an announcement that upset his father so much it ultimately led to a complete estrangement between the two.

In an interview on CNN's "Larry King Live" in May, Culkin acknowledged he consumed alcohol and smoked marijuana over the years, but said, "I never had a problem."

"Everything that I do for some reason becomes this big crazy thing, you know, even though any normal person does it. Like, yes I'm a kid, I had a beer, I smoked a joint. Big deal," he said.

I Love Anthony

My precious baby. He's so pretty. I need to give him a name. I love him so much.

I think I shall call him Anthony.

I love Anthony.

OK, so all this talk of mine is a tad bit crazy. But I love having a DVR now. I only wish Anthony could record 3 shows at one time instead of only 2.

I guess I'm lucky though. I could have wound up with an Ivan.

The Sims

Wooohooo!

The Sims 2 is on its way to me!!!

I used to be a huge Sims fanatic. Then I kind of got worn out on it after playing most of the Expansion Packs.

But when I heard that The Sims 2 had been released, I just had to get it.

It should reach my lovely hands later next week.

I can't wait!!!!!

And for those of you snickering at me right now (you know who you are), carry on! LOL

Damn Ivan

Hurrican Ivan expected to now make landfall around Mobile, AL to Gulf Shores, AL. Posted by Hello

Will find cams if possible and post them here so that Ivan can be watched while coming ashore as long as possible.

TODAY, Today, today...

Work sucked today. Non-stop orders (and no, I don't work at a pizza joint). I guess at least I don't have to worry about being laid off for lack of work. That's good.

So, I'm gonna spend some quality TV time drinking a few beers and watching some TV (while surfing of course).

However, I'm in a television dilemma tonight. I hate it when this happens. Right now I'm watching North Shore and going back to Fear Factor on commercials.

The 8:00 hour is a tough choice for me. Watch Las Vegas or Renovate My Family? I think I'm gonna go for Las Vegas simply because I love that show for its cheesiness and for the eye candy. (There's some eye candy for the guys too BTW...)

The 9:00 hour isn't as tough a choice. I'm not quite sure I can bring myself to watch LAX. I haven't seen too much on that show and what I have seen looks beyond cheesey. So I will probably wind up watching Monday Night Football and not really care whether Carolina or the Packers win.

I really want TIVO. I really do. But I think I'm gonna go with the DVR that Time Warner is offering right now. It's only another $6.99 per month for me. 100 hours of digital recording and 60 hours of analog recording. That's good enough for me.

I can't let TV take away from my computer time! Whatever would I do????

Update - 9:20 PM

I'm watching LAX. It's actually not too bad. It's definitely better than I thought it would be.

Go Texans!

Hell yeah! Football season has officially started for the Houston Texans. Go Texans! Posted by Hello

BTW, if you would like a copy of the above Texans graphic to use as wallpaper for your computer, email me and I will send it to you. File size is 274 KB and will fit screen resolutions up to 1280x1024.

Damn I love football!

Update - 3:45 PM Central

Damn! Mother trucker! Texans lost to the Chargers 27-20. I guess that's what we get for being favored to win the game.

Actually, I think we would have won the game if it wasn't for our 4 TURNOVERS! David Carr had two intercepted passes and Domanick Davis fumbled the ball twice. Hell, Davis fumbled both times while having both of his hands on the ball. Davis' last fumble is what really killed us though. Then our defense put the final nail in the coffin by not stopping the Chargers on the final drive.

Oh well, on to the Lions next Sunday. I need to find a way to get some of this to Domanick Davis.

One word of note...this will definitely be a game with some highlights on ESPN! LOL With 5:07 left in the 4th quarter, right after a big QB sack by Wong on Brees, the power went out in Reliant Stadium. The game was paused for around five minutes waiting for full power to kick back in. Ultimately, the game was resumed while the roof was being opened.

Our stadium, sponsored by the large energy service provider Reliant Energy, had its power go out. It was kind of funny (NOT) but the broadcasters were amused by it. LOL

Go Texans!

Johnny Cash - RIP

It's been one year today since Johnny Cash left us. This year sure has gone quickly for me. Where does the time go?

One of my favorite songs sung by Johnny Cash is 'A Boy Named Sue'. Written by Shel Silverstein, the song was recorded live at the Folsom County Prison on February 24, 1969. In America, 'A Boy Named Sue' shot to #1 on the Country charts and #2 on the Pop charts upon its release.

Follow the lyrics below and listen right along with me to 'A Boy Named Sue' here. (You must open the link in Internet Explorer for it to play. Choose 'A Boy Named Sue' and the player will open in a small window. Press play to hear the intriguing tale.)

'A Boy Named Sue'

My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue."

Well, he must o' thought that is quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk,
It seems I had to fight my whole life through.
Some gal would giggle and I'd get red
And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head,
I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named "Sue."

Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean,
My fist got hard and my wits got keen,
I'd roam from town to town to hide my shame.
But I made a vow to the moon and stars
That I'd search the honky-tonks and bars
And kill that man who gave me that awful name.

Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July
And I just hit town and my throat was dry,
I thought I'd stop and have myself a brew.
At an old saloon on a street of mud,
There at a table, dealing stud,
Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me "Sue."

Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother'd had,
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye.
He was big and bent and gray and old,
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said: "My name is 'Sue!' How do you do!
Now your gonna die!!"

Well, I hit him hard right between the eyes
And he went down, but to my surprise,
He come up with a knife and cut off a piece of my ear.
But I busted a chair right across his teeth
And we crashed through the wall and into the street
Kicking and a' gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.

I tell ya, I've fought tougher men
But I really can't remember when,
He kicked like a mule and he bit like a crocodile.
I heard him laugh and then I heard him cuss,
He went for his gun and I pulled mine first,
He stood there lookin' at me and I saw him smile.

And he said: "Son, this world is rough
And if a man's gonna make it, he's gotta be tough
And I knew I wouldn't be there to help ya along.
So I give ya that name and I said goodbye
I knew you'd have to get tough or die
And it's the name that helped to make you strong."

He said: "Now you just fought one hell of a fight
And I know you hate me, and you got the right
To kill me now, and I wouldn't blame you if you do.
But ya ought to thank me, before I die,
For the gravel in ya guts and the spit in ya eye
Cause I'm the son-of-a-bitch that named you "Sue.'"

I got all choked up and I threw down my gun
And I called him my pa, and he called me his son,
And I came away with a different point of view.
And I think about him, now and then,
Every time I try and every time I win,
And if I ever have a son, I think I'm gonna name him
Bill or George! Anything but Sue! I still hate that name!

Key West Cams

Take heed Florida. Hurricane Ivan's coming to visit.

Ivan was just upgraded again to a Category 5 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 165 mph.

It seems that there's no way the Florida keys will escape his wrath. Key West has been mostly evacuated already.

Following is a list of cams I've found that are working as of this posting.

Duval Street - Key West
* Live streaming - Must have Windows Media Player installed

Wyndham Casa Marina Resort - Key West
* Updates every 8 seconds

Hog's Breath Saloon - Key West
* Live streaming cams inside the 'open' saloon

Southernmost Point Guest House - Key West
* Updates every 5 seconds

United States Coast Guard Station - Key West
* Updates every 5 minutes - be sure to check out the time-lapse while you're there

Update - 11:17 PM Central

It looks like Ivan is gonna be swinging further west of Florida than predicted earlier this afternoon with landfall now guessed to be the central part of the panhandle. Seems like the Keys and Tampa are safe. I sure am glad to hear that. But hate it for the folks in the panhandle.

Hurricane Ivan

Damn him.

He Got What He Deserved

Pup shoots man, saves litter mates
Thursday, September 9, 2004
PENSACOLA, Florida (AP) -- Nice shootin', Rex!

A man who tried to shoot seven puppies was shot himself when one of the dogs put its paw on the revolver's trigger.

Jerry Allen Bradford, 37, was charged with felony animal cruelty, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday. He was being treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound to his wrist.

Bradford said he decided to shoot the 3-month-old shepherd-mix dogs in the head because he couldn't find them a home, according to the sheriff's office.

On Monday, Bradford was holding two puppies -- one in his arms and another in his left hand -- when the dog in his hand wiggled and put its paw on the trigger of the .38-caliber revolver. The gun then discharged, the sheriff's report said.

Deputies found three of the puppies in a shallow grave outside Bradford's home, said sheriff's Sgt. Ted Roy.

The other four appeared to be in good health and were taken by Escambia County Animal Control, which planned to make them available for adoption.

A Blonde Enters a Store

A blonde enters a store that sells curtains. She tells the salesman, "I would like to buy a pair of pink curtains."

The salesman assures her that they have a large selection of pink curtains. He shows her several patterns, but the blonde seems to be having a hard time choosing.

Finally she selects a lovely pink floral print. The salesman then asks what size curtains she needs.

The blonde promptly replies, "fifteen inches."

"Fifteen inches???" asked the salesman. "That sounds very small, what room are they for?"

The blonde tells him that they aren't for a room, they are for her computer monitor.

The surprised salesman replies, "but Miss, computers do not need curtains!"

The blonde says "Hellllooooooooo...I've got Windoooooows!"

Today

A woman will be raped every 30 seconds in our world.

10 children will be abducted from their schoolyards.

1,200 women will miscarry their babies before nightfall.

A drunk driver will kill an innocent person every hour.

200 kinds will become a property of the state because their parents abuse them.

700 people will commit suicide,

54% of those 700 will be kids 15-24.

1,400 people will die of cancer,

65% of those 1,400 will be children under 12.

12,000 divorces will be finalized today.

18,000 bankruptcies will be filed before noon.

17 women will be beat to death by their abusive husbands or boyfriends.

3 Dads will be mugged and shot dead in a convenience store parking lot on their way home from work today.

A single mother will lose her job every 10 minutes.

Over a million men, women, and children will sleep on the streets tonight.

A kid under twenty one will overdose every half hour.

800 teenagers will enter into prostitution before midnight.

350 family homes will burn down.

And, 20,000 men, women, and children will starve to death.

Today.

So maybe you had a bad day, maybe some things aren't going your way. Maybe your boss wasn't nice to you. Maybe there was traffic on the freeway, and maybe your spouse was a little grouchy yesterday. Maybe money is a little tight this week, maybe that person didn't call you back, maybe someone else is getting some preferential treatment. Maybe you saw another grey hair, or a few wrinkles in the mirror, maybe you gained a couple pounds. Maybe they forgot your fries at the drive thru, maybe your latte was a couple of degrees too cool. Maybe you have to get a second job, maybe you have to rewrite your report, and maybe you have to watch the kids tonight instead of going out. Maybe you need to do something selfless today, maybe the world is going through something bigger than your troubles. Maybe you need to take a chill pill. Quit your complaining and get some perspective.

I found the above at Dirty Wings.

It was one of the best things I've read in a long time.

While Watching The Race...

While watching the NASCAR race in Fontana,CA, I've also been surfing. Imagine that!

I found The Truffle Shuffle at The Group. I just about Laughed My Ass Off when I saw it!

That was one of my favorite movies growing up. I bought it on DVD as soon as I could. You can never watch The Goonies too many times!

20 Questions to a Better Personality

Since I'm bored out of my freaking skull right now because there's absolutely nothing going on with the Big Brother live feeds, I decided to surf some more blogs.

I found this on a couple of them so I decided to take it.

Here are my results:

Wackiness: 30/100
Rationality: 36/100
Constructiveness: 12/100
Leadership: 40/100

You are a SEDF--Sober Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you a Evil Genius.

You are extremely focused and difficult to distract from your tasks. With luck, you have learned to channel your energies into improving your intellect, rather than destroying the weak and unsuspecting.

Your friends may find you remote and a hard nut to crack. Few of your peers know you very well--even those you have known a long time--because you have expert control of the face you put forth to the world. You prefer to observe, calculate, discern and decide. Your decisions are final, and your desire to be right is impenetrable.

You are not to be messed with. You may explode.

Of the 16173 people who have taken this quiz since tracking began (8/17/2004), 13.5 % are this type.

Most of that sounds like me. And if I don't stop eating today, I will explode. LOL

Move It!

Frances Delivers Long Pounding to Florida
By Michael Christie

COCOA, Fla. (Reuters) - Hurricane Frances whipped off roofs, felled trees and cut power to 1.9 million homes and businesses in Florida on Sunday as the huge and powerful storm crawled over the state with ferocious winds and sheets of rain.

The hurricane was so large and slow-moving that its western outer edges had begun arriving on the east coast on Saturday morning and by Sunday morning its eastern edges were still pounding the coast from which 2.5 million people had been told to flee. The rest of the story can be read here.

Hurricane Frances Cams

I spent some time today putting together a list of webcams in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina to check out Frances as she comes in. I looked for a list similar to this when Charley came in. It was very frustrating as most of the cams I came across weren't working or the pictures were a year old. I found very few that were actually up to date.

This list is current. I went to each and every one of these myself. Depending on the site, you may need Java or Windows Media Player. I didn't have a problem with any of these cams though.
