I am still messing with the setup over there so if you go there and things are looking a little funky come back in a little bit. Chances are I'm working on it at that moment. I will be working on it a lot in the next week so expect the setup to change some until I get everything looking the way I want it.

The Week Ends

This week has seemed to drag on and on and awn. I thought Friday would never get here. And now it's here. Just think, Monday is right around the corner again. Such is life right?

When I read about the Paris hotel fire this morning it made me very sad. Those poor people. Half of the dead are children. Memories of 9/11 came flooding back to me when I read about the people jumping from their windows to escape the fire.

Don't feed Charlie. More importantly, don't give him your cigarettes. They're trying to get him to kick the habit.

More bandwidth was sucked up on the internet last year than ever before. That doesn't surprise me. Hell, I go through more bandwidth every month. I could only imagine what my numbers look like in a year.

Amazon is thinking about getting into the DVD rental business. That might be interesting.

And what the hell is up with the Red Sox/Yankees game last night? As if things can get any more crazier between those teams and their fans.

This story just breaks my heart. It's so sad for both families involved and for the entire community.

My American Idol Spoilers To A Friend Via Email

OK girl...you asked me to tell you who left. I know you didn't ask for all of this but I wasn't doing anything else while watching the show so I figured why the hell not!!! ROFLMAO. Hope you enjoy reading this after you get out of class tonight. Just remember that I type 110 wpm. :)

General opening. RS says there were over 34 million votes cast. The finalists are seated on the little bleachers on the side of the stage. Ryan asking Constantine about his 'tongue' move during his song last night...Constantine doesn't know why he did it and must have been channelling Gene Simmons from KISS.

RS asking how Anthony's feeling. RS says he looks like he's going to puke. He says he feels fine. RS asks Vonzelle what it feels like lately to have been working in the recording studio on their charity single.

Now showing footage of the top 12 finalists singing their single to be released 'Everything Is Beautiful' for charity. Showing Bo in the recording studio and then Scott and then Vonzell and then Anwar in front of the board and then behind the microphone. Now showing general clips of the finalists putting together the single in the studio.

Back to RS and the live show. The single comes out April 19th. Commercial.

Back from commercial. RS says the bottom three will each be singing their favorite song from the season. Now the finalists are out on stage singing the song 'When You Tell Me That You Love Me'. Nadia sings first, then Vonzelle, then Carrie, then all three of them together. Eeks!!! Scott first among the guys, then Constantine, then Anthony, then Anwar, then all the boys and girls together. Constantine has a solo. This song is really sucking. Bo with a solo. Vonzelle has a solo now along with Anwar. Nadia's hair is way too big. Anwar looks like his hair is pulled back in a hair net. This song isn't really that good. Getting better towards the end. Carrie has the final solo ending the song. Song is over. Not that impressive if you ask me.

Now they're doing a video clip of what the singers do during the week. Thursday - trying to figure out what they're going to be singing and what they cut out of the song to cut it down to 1 minute 30 seconds. Friday - showing them doing the little interviews they do before they perform on Tuesdays. Now showing them shopping for their outfits for the show. This is all stupid fluff I could do without. Saturday, they work on recording their AI album and the charity single. Showing them going bowling after recording Saturday. Carrie says they have to all stay together when they do stuff like that.

Sunday is 'workday'. That's when they record the promo spot (commercial) for American Idol on Tuesday to open up the show. Monday is a rehearsal day. Tuesday is show day. Final walkthroughs in the morning for the show and then to hair & makeup for the show. Scott getting his makeup done. The show goes live.

Wednesday is results day. Scott says the worst day of the week is Wednesdays. Bo says everybody goes into a cocoon just waiting to find out.

Back to tonight's live show. RS says that noone wants to go home and says that we won't believe who is in our bottom 3 tonight. Commercial.

So far I have to say that this show is pretty cheesy. I can't believe I have to watch for a whole hour of this. BTW, it's 8:18 now. Yeah, I know it. Still 42 minutes to go. Argh. I need a beer - hold on. Be right back. OK I'm back. Still on commercial.

Finally the show is back. 8:21 now. Showing the promo commercial the finalists have done for Ford. Stupid musical thing with digital cameras and scanning pictures. Really really dumb. It's for the Ford Focus that's why all the camera mess.

RS says tonight is the Extended Results special. Yeah tell me about it. Showing clips of how they performed last night. Back from the clips & judges critiques.

RS - Carrie I know you weren't feeling too well. What was wrong? Carrie - I don't know what it was. It took a lot more to make sure you hit those notes.

RS - Nadia, a lot of pressure on this show. What are the tricks to dealing with it? Nadia - There is a lot of stress but when I first got into this competition I said I just want to do what God's will is and I deal through prayer.

RS - Anwar, you were very strong last night. What made the difference for you? Anwar - Previously, I was overthinking it. Now I'm becoming part of the music and it's making a whole lot of difference in here (points to his heart) and in here (points to his head). Just want to get the message across.

RS to Scott - your favorite song of the series so far? Scott - 'Against All Odds' and 'She's Gone' (from last night) but probably 'Against All Odds'. RS - Scott, I'm going to have to have you perform that now. Audience groans. Scott is in the bottom three and gets up and sings 'Against All Odds'. He starts off kinda bad and off key. He starts getting better during the chorus. Paula clapping for him. Simon not looking at him. Scott's not hitting the ending notes like he did the first time he sang this song. Not a very good performance but it had to have been hard. RS sends us to commercial break. It's 8:30.

Back at 8:34.

RS - Carrie you sang 'Love Is a Battlefield'. He's going over the judge's reactions. She is safe.

RS - Anwar you sang 'I'll Never Love This Way Again'. Going over reactions. He is also safe.

RS - Bo you sang 'Free Bird'. Reactions. Bo is in the bottom 3 tonight!!!! OMG!!!! Bo saying he's fine with it. That it all started as a bet between him and mom. It's all good. He can still go back home and sing gigs. She bet that he wouldn't go try out for AI and he bet her that she wouldn't sleep on the convention floor for 3 nights. RJ says that Bo is the bomb but has lost some confidence in the last couple of weeks. Paula says she has no worries in the world that Bo will be in the finals. RS says to Bo that he could be out tonight and Bo says 'no worries brother'. Bo comes up and sings 'Remedy' by the Black Crowes. Other finalists are dancing. Bo is doing great singing this song. While he's singing he goes over to Scott and gives him a little hug. Bo really rockin' this song. Paula standing up and dancing now. Audience is in to it. RJ clapping for him. Performance over. RS sends us back to commercial at 8:40.

I still can't believe Bo is in the bottom three. See, that's what we get for not voting for him. Just thinking that there are enough people out there voting for him. I guess we need to vote for him some next week just in case something like this happens again.

Back at 8:44.

RS - Constantine you sang 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Reactions. Simon again this time gives his reaction. Simon giving him mad props. Constantine you are safe.

RS - Vonzelle you sang 'Let's Hear It For The Boy'. Last night's reactions. If you are in the bottom 3 tonight what will you sing? She will sing 'All For Nothing' by Whitney Houston.

RS - Anthony you sang 'Everytime You Go Away'. Last night's reactions. He will sing the same song from last night if he's in the bottom 3.

RS - Nadia what song are you going to sing? You ARE in the bottom 3 tonight. She's going to sing 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me'. Everybody please welcome Nadia. It could be her last time on stage. Nadia gets up to sing. She's singing it just OK. She looks like she's in shock kinda. She's doing better as the song goes on. Song is over. All three - Scott, Bo, and Nadia - meet in the center of the stage. RS will tell us who's safe after this commercial at 8:49.

Back at 8:52.

RS tells the audience they can't complain if they don't vote. RJ says that voters should be looking for consistency with the finalists. Points out that both Ruben and Fantasia have been in the bottom 3. Tells them they have to want it. Paula says they've all seen crazy things before. And tells them to remember the passion and why they came here. They have to always remember that and perform like it's the last time they ever perform. Simon says song choice is the biggest deal when they're on the show. Tells them to watch their past performances and understand why they're there. RS pretends to hide behind Nadia's hair. Nadia says she doesn't regret her song choice from last night.

RS - Bo, Nadia, step back for me. Scott you are safe. Congratulations Scotty.

Bo & Nadia are the bottom two!!!!!! Wowzer. RJ says that if people really believe these two shouldn't be here then they did right. Paula asks Bo if he believes he has what it takes. Bo says he has what it takes. Paula tells him he has to show it. Ryan between Bo & Nadia now.

RS - America you've decided that Bo is safe. Wooohoooo!!!! Bo & Nadia hug. Nadia leaves American Idol. Nadia says thanks to everyone at home in Miami and her fans. Says her journey has been unbelievable.

Showing video clips of Nadia from the very beginning of the contest now. Nadia is crying and constantly wiping away tears while watching it. Somebody (Ryan) hands her a handkerchief and the camera cuts away. Ryan leads Nadia out to the center of the stage just them two and Nadia tells America to watch out for her in the future. Everybody comes to hug Nadia onstage.

Not In A Blogging State Of Mind

I just have not felt like blogging the last couple of days. So following is a list of little things I've been pondering/questioning lately.

The hair on the upper right side of my head has been hurting lately when I wake up. It must be the way I have my head and pillows situated but WTF? And yes I meant to say my hair hurts in the morning. Women with long hair understand what I'm talking about.

Close your damned mouth when you have the hiccups. Nobody likes attention whores.

If the light is green and you're making a legal right turn, why do you insist on coming to a complete stop before you make your turn? Yeah asshole, green means go.

Why does the media feel the need to analyze Pres. Bush's song choices? I don't have a problem with him listening to 'My Sharona' so why do they? From a major music magazine editor,

If you say you're going to do something do it. If you say you're going to be somewhere at a certain time be there. If you say you're going to call then call. You may think you're more important than everybody else but you come across as a selfish ass when you pull crap like that.

When you're at work do your work. Don't have others do it for you because you're lazy. You should just quit instead and let your company hire somebody that actually wants your job.

I feel better now. I guess I was in a blogging state of mind after all. LOL

How Old Am I?

The new 'N Sync song 'Girlfriend' with Nelly is a pretty cool song. I like. For the other closet 'N Sync freaks I mean fans out there, go to their website and you can listen to all of their previous songs and watch their videos. Lance is my favorite btw.

I want to thank all of you for your birthday wishes for me on Friday. Stuck sent me a very nice e-card and Buddha Bubba even analyzed my dream. I'm not quite sure what to think about the analysis. It was interesting though. :)

'Happy Birthday' was sung to me at midnight by a wonderful friend. I was greeted at work with another round of 'Happy Birthday' sung by one of the departments as soon as I walked in. Arriving at my desk I saw balloons, cards, and a giant chocolate cake. The ladies that went in on my gift came in to my office about 15 minutes later and presented me with another card containing a $60 gift card to a local megastore. Ka-ching! The workday went well - not too busy and not too slow.

Took a couple of shots of Malibu rum when I got home and chased them down with a nice cold brew. Popped open another beer and started getting ready. A friend came over and picked me up and we went over to her place. Drank another beer and we decided we were going to go out and play a little pool. But, alas, I kinda threw a wrench in those plans. You see she had a bottle of tequila and I decided to partake in it. 3 shots worth. Umm, yeah. A couple of hours later she brought me home. I would have gotten myself in major trouble if I had gone out. Trust me.

I woke with a hangover and craving pancakes and bacon so I drove myself to the only place still serving breakfast - Whataburger. They stop breakfast at 11:00 and I got there at 10:52 baby! Woo hoo. Got back home, talked to The Chuckster and then proceeded to chow down on my syrup-laden fluffy treats. Then guess what? I laid back down and went to sleep. Hahahahaha.

Somebody needs to remind me the next time I try to do this that I'm not 22 years old.

Happy Birthday To Me

Wow. I'm 33 years old.

I never thought I would last this long. When I would write in my journal at the tender ages of 14-18 years old, 32 was 'the age'. I was positive that I would die before I was 32 years old. It was just something I knew in my heart that would happen. In a way I felt it was something that deserved to happen to me. So needless to say my 32nd birthday last year was really strange for me. I don't really know how to explain it. I just feel like I'm not meant to be here sometimes. But yet here I am.

This last week I've started having my recurring nightmare again. It's the same one and the only one I can remember having had since I was about 6 years old. I'm staring up at the Statue of Liberty and then my dream flashes me to being on top of a bunch of mattresses stacked up with what seems to be a million blankets on top of me. I can't breathe. The blankets are all tucked in around me and I can't move. I just see the the arm and the face of the Statue of Liberty. And then I wake up. I'm sweating and hot and panicky. Then I realize it was just my nightmare again. Why do I keep having this nightmare? Usually I have this nightmare a couple of times a month. But here it is. Daily now. It's been 25+ years and it's still there.

On the flip side, I love myself more than I ever did at 14 or 18 or 25 or 30. I'm actually liking me more as the years go by. I'm a better person than I was last year at this time. I guess that's all I can try to be. A better person. More forgiving. Gentler. Kinder. And happier with myself.

You know, sometimes this growing older deal is quite nice. Stray gray hairs and all.
